I'm a Comparative Literature minor (and am considering pursuing it in grad school), so the foreign language credit for the English department makes perfect sense to me. It's all a part of trying to break down borders between national canons, yaddayaddayadda--things only a lit freak like me would really find interesting. But, basically, it's to help you appreciate literature that's not part of the Anglophonic canon. For instance, I've taken Spanish and French, so I can partake of those canons without having to go to a translator for interpretation, which generally results in a cleaner understanding of the original text.

...Yeah it's 3:40 on my 21st birthday and I woke up with indigestion and just gave a lesson on Comparative Literature. xD I think Lit Freak does apply.

And for my two cents: going with the GI Bill option makes a lot more sense to me, especially if you're so frustrated with your school right now and if--if!--your old school doesn't offer you a feasible financial aid package (i.e., no grants with waivers).Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17238425621219105978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5419643307450046457.post-26074029883906408002009-04-09T00:00:00.000-04:002009-04-09T00:00:00.000-04:00Hopefully things will get better.
