We are an Air Force family moving from place to place. Currently we are about 1300 miles from our hometown.
I have a degree in secondary education and am currently a substitute teacher and am also a children's advocate with United Way. I'm a sucker for a good DIY project, although I almost always hate it by the time it's done. Baking is one of my favorite things to do, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm more of a "Aw, how pretty!" baker than a "Oh, this tastes great!" baker and almost always use boxed funfetti for cupcakes. I'm a photographer, a writer, a reader, a soccer lover, and am constantly traveling!
My husband is an SF Officer in the Air Force and this 'granted' us a move "into the west" in 2010! He's an avid Animal Planet watcher and, although we both love photography, he prefers to photograph wildlife and landscapes and I prefer a photojournalist portrait! He occasionally watches a football game on tv, but doesn't understand my love for soccer.
As we have no children, our "furbaby" (I hate that term, but it's so appropriate) is our little Cleo! We know she has cattle dog in her, but we aren't sure what else she is mixed with. We originally were told Australian Shepherd, but are now thinking a Mini Aussie, as she's 5 months old now and is probably going to only be about 30lbs in adulthood! Cleo is a trip, loves sleeping on her back, barks in her sleep, and loves to cuddle.
We are enjoying our time in the military, getting to see many new places together!
